Office cubicle became very popular back in the 1990's, but were slowly phased out over the past 20 years. Thanks to covid-19 though, the office cubicle is making a big comeback. Companies and governmental agencies alike are now retrofitting their office space with cubicles in an effort to maintain social distancing.
The idea behind removing the cubicles back in the early 2000's was to promote office space comradery where office staff would work together more as a team because of their proximity to one another. We are now witnessing a reversal in the thought process. Proximity in office space is no longer a good thing if we want to make sure that employees maintain social distancing from their co-workers. It is safe to say that office partitions will become the new norm.

The cost of interlocking pavers ranges from $9 to $12+ per square foot, and that depends mostly on the design and colors you pick. While you may be able to find cheaper prices, be ware that improperly installed pavers lead to problems in no time. Poor workmanship in paver laying leads to settling pavers which in turn creates an uneven surface with dips that are unsightly and allows water to puddle.
Proper paver installation requires several steps, highlighted below:

1. Survey the area and determine the levels to make sure your paver surface will come out sloped in the right direction. 
2. Excavate the area 5" to 8" deep (more for driveways), depending on the usage of the area.
3. Lay your roadbase and compact it into  a 4" layer. You may need to lightly spray water onto the roadbase to achieve proper compaction.
4.  Install suitable edging.
5. Lay coarse sand and screed it to uniform 1" thickness. It is best to use 1" screed pipes as guides in order to maintain a uniform 1" thickness.
6. Lay the pavers starting at the longest side and working your way one row at a time.
7. Tamp down the pavers with plate compactor (running on low power setting).
8. Sweep polymeric sand into the joints.
9. Tamp again lightly, one pass will do here.
10. (optional) Seal your pavers with a sealer that gives you the look you want.

If you are looking to enhance the look of your driveway, your patio, or your business courtyard, interlocking pavers are an excellent and cost effective way to give you that stunning look you are looking for.

A kitchen remodel can set you back a pretty penny so you must prepare well for it. First and foremost you need to decide what your budget is and stick to that budget.  I cannot tell you how many clients I came across that wanted to have a 'simple' kitchen remodel, ended up upgrading everything, including the kitchen sink (pun intended). Once you've determined what it is exactly you want out of your kitchen remodel, start your hunt for reputable and LICENSED contractors. There are plenty of horror stories of kitchen remolding jobs gone awry, from gas leaks to plumbing issues, and everything in between. Hiring a licensed contractor basically guarantees that the job will be done correctly and that if any issues arise, the contractor will be back to fix it.
Once your scope of work is defined, and you know all your requirements (type of countertop, sizes, cabinets types, flooring requirements, etc.), it's always healthy to get two to three quotations before you select your contractor. Make sure to read reviews about your contractor before signing up with them!
Before you sign on the dotted line, make sure that the price and scope of work are very well defined. The California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) forces licensed contractors to include certain minimum requirements on their home improvement contracts, make sure yours includes the same. The main ones are:

• Home improvement contract must be defined
• Payment schedule must show each payment and when that payment will be due
• Materials and services to be rendered must be detailed

For example, the contract should not say 'replace countertop'. Instead, it should say ' replace countertop with a brown quartz countertop. Another example, use 'replace sink with a 36" stainless steel apron sink' instead of 'replace sink'.
One item often forgotten by clients is to ask for flooring / wall tile and countertops to be sealed as part of the contract. Make sure your contract includes for that. Otherwise your contractor will have to charge you for it beyond what the home remodeling contract price is.
